About Me

Hi! I'm James, and I'm an interdisciplinary designer.

James is an architectural & urban designer currently working as a designer with Barker Rinker Seacat. He has an eclectic set of interests as a result of various academic and professional experiences throughout his career.

After receiving his Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University, James worked as an Architectural Associate Designer for the Kohler Co. where he primarily supported hospitality projects internationally and domestically, while simultaneously working with the Village of Kohler as a representative of the Design Review Committee.

James received his Master of Urban Design in 2021, and intends to combine his knowledge of the built environment with the broader scope of city planning to work on high-impact, community-oriented projects at multiple scales.

When he isn't designing, James enjoys making music with the Denver Pops Orchestra, packing food bags with Food for Thought, and exploring Colorado's endless outdoor activities.
